Who I am
Quiet Crossings is the practice of Lesley Ann Sand, PhD.
Contact: hello@quietcrossings.com
What I collect
I aim to collect as little as possible—just what’s needed to communicate and schedule.
• You provide: name, email, time zone, preferred times, and a short intention (via email or form).
• Optional: audio recording of your session (only with your consent).
• Automatic: basic site analytics and cookies provided by Squarespace (and, if enabled, Google tools like Search Console/Analytics).
How I use your information
• Respond to inquiries and schedule sessions
• Send confirmations and preparation notes
• Maintain basic records (e.g., emails) for practice administration and legal obligations
• Improve the site (anonymous/aggregate analytics)
What I don’t do
• I do not sell your personal information.
• I do not add you to marketing lists. (If a newsletter is offered later, it will be opt-in.)
Cookies and analytics
This site runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies for core functionality and metrics. You can control cookies in your browser. If I enable Google services (e.g., Search Console/Analytics), they set cookies to help measure traffic in aggregate.
Sharing with service providers
I may share necessary information with trusted providers who help run the practice and website (e.g., Squarespace, Google Workspace email, Zoom for sessions). These providers use your data only to provide their services. I may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
• Emails and scheduling correspondence: kept as long as needed for the practice or legal obligations.
• Session notes: Kept in a secure location in the event you book a future session.
• Session recordings: only if you consent; provided for your personal use and deleted from my side on a reasonable schedule unless we agree otherwise.
• I keep data no longer than necessary and delete on request where feasible.
Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., EU/UK/California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. To make a request, email hello@quietcrossings.com. I’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site and my services are directed to adults. If you are under 18, please involve a parent/guardian.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where my providers operate.
Updates
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
